Goldheart and Fluttershy are looking at some nearby rockpools for crabs and maybe some fish, while Rarity sunbathed nearby.
Lightnin' and Daisy trot over, Daisy not seeming very confident.
    "Problem?" Lightnin' enquired.
Daisy looked to the side. "Wh-what if he...d-doesn't wanna help...?"
"I'm pretty sure that's what his cutie mark stands for, all he wants to do is help ponies, I've yet to see him refuse anypony, have you?" Lightnin' enquired again.
Daisy nodded, keeping her glum look. "Y-you're right..."
As the two stepped over, Lightnin' had to think of a way to distract Fluttershy.
"Hm...I'll distract nature mare over there, so you can say what you need to alone." With that lightnin' promtly troted down the beach untill he found him self at a further Rock pool, he then prepared to yell at volume Fluttershy could hear. "WOAH, LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT ONE!" Lightnin' bellowed whilst pointing a hoof amongst the rocks and putting on an excited expression.
Fluttershy's ears went up before turning around instantly. "Wh-what?" She asked before starting to gallop off towards Lightnin'. "I-Is it stuck?"
Goldheart was about to follow Fluttershy, but stopped when he saw Daisy looking over at him with a glum look. "Um...is something wrong Daisy?"
"Well, you see, I..." Daisy stuttered, she looked away in hesitation. "No, never mi-" About to have Lightnin's distraction go to waste, she stopped herself, and summoned what courage she could. "No, I have something to tell you Goldheart, and you may not like to hear it."
Goldheart walked over before sitting on a rock next to her. "Go ahead Daisy, I'm all ears."
"I haven't been completely honest with you...when I told you my dad wanted us to meet, it wasn't so we'd be friends, it was to take advantage of you." Daisy stated with a tear in her eye. "B-but I can't do it any more." She began to sob. "I don't want to do this, it's-it's killing me..." Daisy began to break down with tears flowing, her words quickly becoming unintelligible.
Goldheart got up and put a hoof around Daisy. "Daisy...are you saying your Dad wanted you to...date me?" Goldheart asked, slightly confused. "I mean, why does he want to get involved with who's you're special somepony?"
"He wanted to use you to climb the social ladder, like the others." Daisy admitted, deeply ashamed.
Goldheart stopped himself from grunting before looking Daisy in the eyes. "Daisy...if you don't want to do this, you don't have to...you can just tell your Dad to stop, right?"
"I've been under his hoof my whole life...and he's obsessed, insane even, I don't know how he'd react...well, I can imagine." Daisy stated in dread.
Goldheart placed his other hoof around her, trying to comfort her. "You know the only thing he can do is kick you out of his home...and if that does happen, I'll let you stay at the castle until you've found a new place to live under only your own rules, okay?" Goldheart suggested, giving Daisy a warm smile.
"Really?" Daisy sniffed. "You'd do that?" Daisy asked, tearing up as her face filled with hope.
Goldheart's voice and expression showed no sign of doubt. "Of course I would Daisy, why wouldn't I?"
"Oh thank you Goldheart, thank you! THANK YOU!" Daisy blubbered as a hefty weight was lifted from her sholders. Daisy promptly embraced Goldheart fully.
"Y-you're welcome..." Goldheart uttered as he blushed slightly.
Some time later the group finds themselves back at Canterlot, lacking one cobalt stallion, who departed a few stops earlier on the train ride back.
The only room still availabe was the room Fluttershy and Rarity were in, which set off a few sparks, but the two of them couldn't start an argument of any kind in front of Goldheart, so when he left while Daisy was unpacking, the two made their move.
Rarity coughed. "Um, sooo...Goldheart allowed you to stay here at the castle...care to indulge us?"
Daisy gave the pair a little of her attention as she continued to unpack. "Er, how is that any different from his arrangement with you two?"
Fluttershy looked a little confused. "Wh-what do you mean...?"
"Somehow I don't see you two as Goldheart's life long acquaintances, by the sounds of it, you haven't known him very long either." Daisy paused briefly to remove a gown from her luggage. "So do tell, how can you criticise me for becoming friendly with him fast, when you've done no different?" Daisy rebutled, as she unpacked the last of her belongings, and turned to hear their reply.
Rarity looked back at Fluttershy. "as we stated before, Fluttershy here saved Goldheart from Discord..."
Fluttershy looked over at Rarity. "Also Rarity...um, if you hadn't agreed to go with Goldheart back to Detrot, then he probably wouldn't have asked me either...and then he wouldn't have seen his family..."
Daisy began. "What? So that means I don't get to be here?"
Rarity sighed. "Look, just...don't try to get closer to Goldheart, I mean what exactly do you 'like' him for?"
"What's there to not 'like' about him?" Daisy jested in response.
Fluttershy looked up in thought with a slight blush. "Y-you're right...I-I don't know if there is anything bad about him..."
"If you don't want to be 'friends', fine, but I'm not here to cause trouble, so can we at least agree to be civil?" Daisy offered a hoof and a smile.
Rarity kept her look of suspicion but shook her hoof. "I suppose it's better than being at each-other's throat..."
Fluttershy suddenly grew a smile. "Ooooh, speaking of agreements, I-I have an idea I thought of while on the train back."
What exactly is Fluttershy's idea? And what is Lightnin' doing back in Ponyville?
