Yu-Gi-Oh: P.O.D: Part 90Back at the nurse's office, Kou sweeps his feet around so he's sat over the edge of the bed. "Huh? Whad'ya mean by 'team up'?"
Xia tried to keep focused. "Well, you see...I'm...I started thinking of what life would be once the tournament ended, and...well...I kept thinking about you. Y-you see...with everything we've been through, I...I'm not sure if I would feel alright being here, once you graduate..."
Kou scratched the back of his head. "Well it's not like I'm gonna just magically graduate after the tournament is over, Mei-chan."
Xia let out a sigh. "I...I know. I just...I just don't want all this to end. Maybe...maybe we could be together after this is over. I'm sure we could make it as a dueling couple...right?"
Kou almost fell back onto the bed. "Dueling c-couple...?"
Xia looked apologetic. "I...I'm sorry. I-I know it's sudden, but I thought...w-well..."
Yu-Gi-Oh: P.O.D: Part 89Ran walked down the hallway of the nurse's with a curious look. "Hmmmmm, now where could...ah..." Ran spotted Javier. "Excuse me, would you care to tell me where Naruki, Kou is?" Ran asked. "I've been told a boy with green hair carried him in here after he fainted."
Javier looked at Ran up and down. "Plenty of potential in this one..." He thought to himself before pulling his glasses down. "And who's asking?"
Ran folded her arms in disapointment. "What, you don't recognise me?"
Javier shrugged. "Should I?" He asked. "Besides, what do you want with him?"
Nanjo suddenly stepped out of the room behind Javier. "Hey you're still-?" Suddenly Nanjo noticed Ran, his eyes widening. "J-J-Ji-Xi, Ran!" Nanjo practically jumped to her side.
Ran gave Nanjo a disgusted scowl. "Er...yes, well I'm glad some people can recognise me..." Ran turned to Nanjo. "Be a nice boy and get me som
Yu-Gi-Oh: P.O.D: Part 88The next day, Kou and Yu step outside, half an hour before the tournament starts.
Kou stretches before taking out his deck and slapping it into his duel disk. "...well, it's almost time..."
Yu was pacing a bit nervously. "I'm not sure if I should be stoked or spooked. This is the big go, and I don't know how far I'll make it..."
Kou gave Yu a warm smile. "C'mon Yu-kun, all that matters is that we have fun right?"
Yu was still uneasy. "Yeah, right...maybe for you. I don't think everyone's in it for the heck of it."
Kou looked confused. "What...you think there's something else besides just having fun in this tournament?" Kou asked. "I mean, what've you honestly got to lose?"
Yu shook his head. "I...I want to impress Lena, but she's...well...she's not exactly easy to impress."
Kou scratched his head. "Well...I seemed to imp
Yu-Gi-Oh: P.O.D: Part 87Meanwhile back at the dock, the white cloaked duelists as-well as the one with the scarf walks up to one of the bigger cabins.
The scarf wearing duelist knocks on the door lightly. "Your grace, the crowds have subsided..."
A tall man, pale-skinned with golden hair and pale blue eyes opened the door. His clothes were almost immaculate white, except for a few dark blue strands, an old gold watch worn in a matching locket. Down to his shoes, everything looked sharp-dressed, but his expression still felt cold. "Very well. What of the deserter?"
The scarf wearing duelist kneeled, followed by the others. "It seems he has amnesia Sir...most likely caused by one of the Risen Fiends...other than that all we know is that he's definitely still here."
"An idle threat is still a threat." The pale man answered. "If he will not be swayed, he must perish. For now, the darkest foe must be taken of, and even
MLP FIM: Heart and Heritage Part 17Back inPonyville, Lightnin' gets off the train and makes his way to Twilight's library, where Twilight and Applejack are waiting.
"So how're things over there?" Twilight asked. "Are Fluttershy and rarity getting along with Goldheart or...?"
"You could say that." Lightnin' replied smirking to himself.
Applejack wore a rather mocking smile. "Ah'm guessing little miss fancy pants is too busy tryin' to socialise with them upper-class ponies and that."
"Well, she seems rather content with Goldheart's company." Lightnin' confessed.
Applejack scratched her head. "Huh...well you got me there...then again Goldheart is upper-class now ain't he? I mean it was all over the Equestria Daily front page, y'know about Goldheart being royalty an' all."
Twilight looked back towards the staircase for a moment. "Lightnin' by the way, if Spike is around, don't let h
Yu-Gi-Oh: P.O.D: Part 86Kou rubbed the back of his head. "That's right, you guys haven't opened your orbs yet..." A sweatdrop went down Kou's head. "Sorry but...I don't know how I opened mine myself..."
Tacey let out a sigh. "Well, that helps...not to mention that we're one Fiend short right now."
Xia took a moment to think. "This might have to wait until the tournament is over. We can't have anyone going there while qualified. It could be disastrous."
Nanjo rubbed his chin in thought. "Huh...I'm gonna try and open that orb again...doesn't hurt to have some extra power on the field..." With that Nanjo left.
Kary thought for a second. "One thing I do remember...was that the sphere actually spoke to me. Well, I think it did. I wonder if it had anything to do with how to open it..."
Tacey shook her head. "Right now, it's best if we get ready. I think I'll go check on Etsuko-chan." Tacey left al
Yu-Gi-Oh: P.O.D: Part 85Xia waits backstage, Kou has gone to see Aruma-san, though Xia still has the wristband on.
Suddenly Kary, Megumi, Tacey, Yuri and Nanjo walked on over from the staff entrance.
"Where is Naruki-kun...?" Megumi asked.
"Nevermind that, when the heck do we gets those wristband things?" Nanjo also asked.
Xia looked back at the others and shrugged. "I don't know. Probably before the tournament officially starts. As for Kou...he went to see Aruma-san. I wonder why..."
Kary examined the wristband. "I know they said that one loss meant disqualification, but isn't that...harsh?"
Yuri folded his arms. "This isn't a kiddie tournament. When pros are in tournaments, it's simple: you win or you lose. There's no second chances, no best-two-of-three, no mulligans."
Megumi nodded. "Proffesionals should never make mistakes...so if they do,
Yu-Gi-Oh: P.O.D: Part 84"Kou-kun's skills are w-way better than any professional..." Etsuko stated as she and Seb walked over.
Seb looked back at Etsuko with a confused expression. "Um...are you sure about that?" He wondered.
Megumi's eyes narrowed at Seb. "Still as pesimistic as ever aren't you Busque...?"
Seb looked at Megumi up and down, still looking confused. "I'm sorry...have we met before?"
Yu cocked an eyebrow. "Huh? Yo Seb, did you hit your head or something?"
Etsuko frowned. "There's something you should all know..."
Paige looked at the newcomers before looking back at Kary. "So, one space-case and a shrimpy cheerleader? You've joined a pretty sad bunch, K."
Nanjo's voice however broke the moment. "HOLY SHIT!!! IT'S HER!!! RAN JIN-XI!!!"
Ran turned around, looking more confused than anyone else. "Er...wh-who is
Yu-Gi-Oh: P.O.D: Part 83A girl stepped outside the cabin, stretching to get rid of the sleepiness and boredom from the cruise. Her hair was cut short in an almost emo cut, except that her bangs were dyed a rose-petal pink, which seemed to clash with her black hair. She also wore a set of hot-rod red skate goggles and black elbow guards, which were clearly visible due to her grey-and-black t-shirt, tagged with layers of pins and tags. Her jeans also seemed patched with all sorts of logos, making this pro duelist look anything but. Adjusting her fingerless gloves, she looked back in the cabin. "I'll go check the locals, Jun. Be back in a jiff." she said before grabbing the strap-on wheels that dangled from her anime pin-covered backpack, attaching it to her white and red sneakers.
A muffled voice came from the cabin. "Okay Paige j-just let me know there's any of...those people...out there..." THe voice stated, sounding scared.
Paige let out a gruff sigh. "Baby..."
