Yu-Gi-Oh: P.O.D: Part 17

"I was able to get a leak from one of the Pure Whites. Their top supporter, Harris? He's hiding out in the White dorm...in the cellar." Xia informed the group. Tacey scratched her head.
"Why there of all places?" Yu smirked.
"The rat's probably on his last defenses. I'm up for knocking the fat off that lard ball!" Kou began to walk off, before turning back to the others.
"C'mon guys, let's take one of the last steps to saving the academia." Tsuko nodded.
"This is the first time I've wanted to follow someone other than Xia-sama, but lead the way Naruki Kou." Tacey nodded before following.
"He's probably keeping his best guys close." Yu activated his disk.
"All the better reason to go all out. I really need to let some steam off." Etsuko just stayed quiet while following, looking at Kou with admiration in her eyes. Xia looked at her duel disk for a moment, before pulling out her deck and placing another.
"I'm ready."
Some time later, under the white dorm, all around the group were huge boxes of food supplies, duel disks and spare uniforms. Yu looked left and right.
"Feels like a bunker down here...like he got ready for a real war."
"Ugh...I should've known one of my rats would rat ME out..." Roderick Harris stated from the other side of the cellar, stepping out, seeming alone. Kou stepped forward and readied his duel disk.
"It's over Harris-san, give up. Pure white is finished, along with it's prejudice goals." Xia takes a quick look around. "This looks almost too easy..." Roderick Harris lowered his head.
"So it would seem...however, I have one final fallback..."
Tsuko gave off a fierce look.
"Whatever it is, Xia-sama and Naruki can take it on without a scratch." Roderick Harris lifted his head back up.
"Well in that case bring them both on...come on out Bright, James." Yu looked over to Tsuko.
"Are you kidding? I bet they could...huh?" Suddenly a 6" tall man with long white hair, a full white tuxedo and even his eyes were white seemingly, as he peered over at the group with an empty yet cold and infinite look in his eyes. Tacey took a moment to look at him.
"Okay...that guy is freaky."
"Huh...coming out all this way to face a bunch of kids? Well this is an easy job." Etsuko cringed.
"Um...how come his eyes are white...?" Etsuko looked a bit uneasy.
"Umm...contact lenses?" Yu turned to Tacey.
"If he had all-white lenses, he wouldn't be able to see squat." Kou walked over until he was but a yard away from James Bright.
"Hmmmm, sure seems like an interesting guy."
James Bright walked over, opposite to Kou.
"I do not need my senses to feel the world, only the light that guides me..." Yu shook his head.
"What the heck is that guy takin'? I've seen better preachers on TV!" Roderick Harris looked over at Yu.
"Oh I wouldn't mock him, he's gone undefeated in the underworld circiut for almost ten years now..."
"Sweet! This'll be an awesome duel." Kou commented. Tsuko looked back at Xia.
"Um, Xia-sama, shouldn't you help him...I mean if he's undefeated for ten years then..." Xia activated her duel disk.
"I know...and for once, I'm not doing this for the Purple dorm." Xia walked up to Kou's side as James Bright didn't seem to care.
"So, my opponent is an artificial army and..." Suddenly James Bright actually seemed to be staring over at Kou, and even made a frown at him.
"...infinite darkness...?"
"Sounds like a cool name for my deck...maybe I'll call it that." Kou replied, not taking the sreiousness in James Bright's vocie. Xia looked at James.
"I don't know what you're talking about, but you're facing my true deck!"
"Duel!" Xia pulled her opening hand.
"I'll start by placing one monster face-down, and one card face-down, turn end." James bright drew.
"...first I activate Charge of the Light brigade, sending the top 3 cards of my deck to the graveyard to add Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior to my hand."
Wulf, Lightsworn Beast is special summoned. 2100 Attack.
"Because of his effect, Wulf, Lightsworn Beast is special summoned. However my other two lightsworn monsters will stay in the grave. However I tribute Wulf, Lightsworn Beast to tribute summon Celestia, Lightsworn Angel in attack mode." 2300 Attack.
"Then activate her effect, which is to send the top four cards of my deck to the grave to destroy your two cards!" Xia looked at her face-down.
"I activate my trap card...Pyroxene Fusion!"
"By sending Gem-Knights Garnet and Amber to the grave from my hand, I can fusion summon right now...and bring out Gem-Knight Ruby in attack mode!" 2500 Attack. Yu looked at creature Xia summoned.
"What the? I thought she was all Cyber Dragons and stuff..."
"In that case I'll have to go all out sooner than I thought...besides my time isn't worth wasting on you girl." Xia's eyes narrowed.
"Better make time, 'cause I'm not going anywhere." Tacey looked back at Tsuko.
"Is it me, or is Xia a lot more serious than normal?" Tsuko just stood still for a moment.
"...she has something to prove I think...or rather she finally believes she can reach her goals..." Yu cocked an eyebrow.
"Wonder what those goals are..."
"I think you are going...quite soon...with Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress, Jain, Lightsworn Paladin, Wulf, Lightsworn Beast and Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior in my grave...I can special summon... Judgement Dragon!" 3000 Attack. Tacey gasped.
"Three thousand attack...on his first turn?" Yu cringed for a moment.
"You gotta be kidding me..."
"And I equip him with this; Axe of Despair!" 4000 Attack. Xia looked nervously at Kou. "And I activate this, Share the Pain! I'll be tributing Celestia, Lightsworn Angel." Xia let out a sigh as Ruby is sent to the grave.
"Then I activate, Mischief of the Time Goddess!" Tsuko and Kou cringed. "But...isn't there only meant to be just one print of that card...?" Kou asked himself. Tsuko looked scared.
"That card...belonged to the pro duelist Yoka, Rei...who runs a Gladiator Beast deck...he's supposedly the 9th strongest duelist in the world..." Yu looked confused. "What the heck is that card, anyways?" James Brihgt looked over at Yu.
"It skips all turns right to my next battle-phase." Everyone else cringed as Kou gave James Bright an angry look.
"That doesn't even give the opponent a chance to defend or play any cards though!" Xia closed her eyes.
"Yuri...did I fail you again...?" James Bright raised his hand, pointing over at Xia.
"Judgement Dragon, direct attack." Tsuko tried to run over.
"Xia-sama!" Xia is sent flying to the floor, Tsuko dives after her, saving her from sliding into a wall. Yu rushes over to Xia.
"Damnit! Xia!" Roderick Harris laughed.
"Money well spent, ADAD will be nothing but a meaningless memory!" Tacey looks back. "No..."
"Xia-sama! Hang on...she's...out cold..." Tsuko stated, shocked.
"Aren't you forgetting someone Harris!?" Kou shouted over. Yu grit his teeth and clenched his fists.
"You bastard...I'm gonna rip you apart myself!" Tacey turned to look at Yu who was activating his duel disk.
"Yu, what are you doing?"
"Infinite Darkness against Pure light...this duel...I will face fully with no distractions."
"The hell you will!" Yu shouted.
"You're gonna have to go through all of us!" Yu ran over to the field but Judgement Dragon roared at him, sending him flying the same way Xia did. Tacey looked shocked at what happened, but she was too scared to say or do anything.
"I'll set my last two cards, turn end."
"Right...this is for everyone...for the academia...draw!" Etsuko thought back.
"I'm not worried...Kou-sama is way stronger than this man..." Tsuko looked up and over at Kou.
"Yes...I remember him taking out more respectable opponents at the tournament!" Xia cringed for a moment, feeling every nerve in her body hurt from Judgment Dragon's attack. "Ugh..." Tacey cringed for a moment.
"He promised to help me get over my fear...I got to stand up for him!"
Yu slammed his fist against the floor.
"He always had my back...even when I didn't want him to." Yu stated as he slowly got up. "I still gotta pay him back somehow..." Xia tried to get up.
"No...I can't lose hope now...for Yuri's sake...for everyone's sake..."
"...first I play Graceful Chairty to draw three cards and discard two obsidian dargons...then play Miracle Fusion, fusing together both Obsidian Dragons to fusion summon...protect my Nakama Obsidian Greater Dragon!" 1800 Attack. Yu deactivated his disk, and looked at Kou.
"Cream this asshole, Kou! Rip'im a new one!"
"Then I summon Archfiend Soldier!" 1900 Attack.
"Next I play the magic card Crashbug Road, special summoning Opticlops from my hand!" 1800 Attack. Xia looked over to Tsuko.
"Help me up..." Xia said, pain still running all over her.
"Now I play two Star Changers! Changing both my feinds to level five, then by combining my two feinds I create an overlay network...rid the wrold of it's true evils, Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon!" 2600 Attack. Tacey examined the fallen angel with a strange feeling.
"Is that...?" Tacey whispered, not finding the same dread as before.
"Trap activate! Bottomless trap hole!" Bright James's trap is negated.
"Th-then Adhesion Trap hole!" Again it is negated.
"Sorry, but Obsidian Greater Dragon protects all my monsters from your spell and traps." "...so this is the infinite darkness I felt..."
"I activate Adreus' effect, sending Opticlops to the grave to destroy Judgement Dragon!" One of Adreus' wings suddenly transforms into a blade and flys at Judgement dragon, destroying it. Xia slowly got up, and looked surprised at Adreus' effect.
"I...I don't believe it..." James didn't seem so scared though.
"Still in this duel I have 8000 life points total, I'm not done yet..."
"So you think." Kou looked at the one card left in his hand.
"I play Pot of Greed..then Dark World Dealings, meaning we both draw but both discard one card."
"Heh, fine by me."
"And I discarded Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World!" 1600 Attack. Kou draws his final card.
"Finally I activate the magic card: Worn Avenger! It special summons a monster from any graveyard to my field, however it looses 100 attack for every level that it is above level 1, so I bring back Gem Knight Ruby!" 2000 Attack.
"You wanna do the math dude? 1600 + 1800 + 2600 + 2000?" James Bright thought for a moment before his eyes widened.
"8000!!!" "Go everyone! Direct attack!" Suddenly when Beiige hit James, it actually drew blood when it's spear hit, and when Adreus swiped at james, his jacket was ripped and blood spilled everywhere, when Gem Knight Ruby hit though nothing happened, and finally Obsidian Greater Dragon breathed fumes on him, James Bright fell to the floor from the smell of the fumes. 0 LP. The holograms disipated as everyone ran over, Tsuko carrying Xia over.
"Um...is he okay?" Kou asked, confused at the blood stains. Yu ran over to Kou.
"Dude...man...I mean..." Yu was at a loss for words.
"He seems out of it...possibly overwhelmed at the combined strengths of you and Xia-sama." Tsuko suggested. Tacey looked back at Xia.
"Is she alright?" Xia looked back at Kou, though she wasn't sure how to react.
"I...um...I just wish I could have done more..." Xia stated in a soft-spoken tone. "What're you talking about Xia-chan? If you hadn't taken that hit for me we'd all be in deep water, plus your Ruby Knight helped me finish him." Kou replied, seemingly proud of Xia's actions. Even though Xia let out a sigh of relief, tears were slowly coming down her face. Taken a slow, pain-filled step, she dropped against Kou, her arms clinging to his shoulders. Etsuko didn't like Xia's position and tried to change the subject.
"Wh-where's that Rob?" Yu looked around.
"Huh? I almost forgot! He should be...um...where'd he go?" Everyone looked around to see that Roderick Harris had taken off in the midst of the mad duel.
"Perhaps we can still catch him Xia-sama!...actually you wait here I'll go after him!" Tsuko sprinted off out of the celler.
"You're not going anywhere without me! That fatso's mine!" Yu exclaimed, before running after Tsuko.
Eventually the two of them wound up at the pier.
"...ah! There's the scoundrel!" Roderick Harris is taking off on a speedboat.
"I'll be back! And with...well I'll come up with that later!"
"...I say we let rotting fish rot." Tsuko suggested. Yu placed his hands over his knees, taking a long breath.
"Damnit..."
