Yu-Gi-Oh: P.O.D: Part 44

Nanjo looked confused.
"Um...does Senpai know this chick?" Seb looked back at Nanjo.
"If he knows her name, I guess so..." Yu got back on his feet and turned towards Kou.
"Hey, Kou. I don't know who this chick is, but she really plays for keeps!" Kou grinned.
"Oooh, she gotten even better over the years?" Tacey ran over, then stopped to catch her breath.
"Finally...caught up...you...calmed down...already?" Nanjo looked at Tacey for a moment.
"...ohhhh, it's the pyschic chick." Tacey looked over at Nanjo before replying roughly.
"I have a name, you know."  Nanjo folded his arms.
"And I'd sure like to know it." Nanjo stated, sarcasm dancing in his voice. Yu looked back at Nanjo.
"You sure talk pretty big, for someone who didn't last two turns!" Nanjo looked away, a cocky grin covering his face.
"Yeaaaah, because you did soooo much better buzz-boy." Nanjo laughed.
"Yeah, that's your nick-name now; buzz! Hahahaha!"
"At least it ain't squirt!" Yu replied flatly.
Tacey shook her head.
"Boys..." Kou laughed.
"Hey! Can I have a nick-name too?"
"Enough!" Suddenly the girl in red ahir, who Kou revealed to be called Megumi demanded. Megumi pointed at Yu and Tacey, then pointed over to where Nanjo and Seb were.
"Leave the field, now."
"You don't have to tell me twice..." Yu said, letting out a sigh. Tacey simply shrugged before walking over with Yu. Suddenly the crowd in the stands started chatting again as if they just woke up.
"Huh? Oh Kou-senpai's here!"
"Kou-senpai?"
"Naruki, Kou? Finally."
"Go Kou-kun!" Kou walked over to where Yu just was, raising his duel disk.
"It's been a long time, Megumi-chan."
"Y-yes it has...N-Naruki, Kou! Prepare to loose all the fame and praise you have gained in this duel!"
"I still can't believe all the fans he has." Yu says to Tacey with a sigh.
"Wish I could get a piece of that." Nanjo suddenly placed his fist in his palm as if he just realised something.
"Oh! Now I know who that chick is! She's Kanjori, Megumi, she's like one of the top five duelists in the pro circuit right now!" Yu looked shocked.
"R-really? No wonder she creamed us like that!" Tacey looked back at Kou.
"How on Earth do you know someone top-ranked like her?"
"Heh-heh...we dueled when we were kids, long story, and I'm too pumped to tell it right now!" Kou replied.
"Enough talk Naruki, Kou." Megumi activated her duel disk.
"I see you ain't changed much Megumi-chan, oh well, still awesome to see you again." Kou retorted before activating his duel disk.
"Duel!" Seb flipped his phone open.
"This should be good." Tacey looked at Seb.
"What are you doing?" Seb shrugged.
"Just wanted to record the match." Nanjo looked up at the stands.
"I don't think you're the only person with that idea..."
Kou drew.
"Okay I'll start off, draw! First I play the magic card Double Summon, allowing me to normal summon twice this turn, so I'll bring out Mist Archfiend and Dark Resonator, now I'll synch them both for...Red Demon's Dragon!" 3000 Attack. Yu cringed.
"That guy right off the bat? Damn..." Megumi didn't seem phased.
"Still using that same dragon?"
"Yeah, he's awesome isn't he? Well I'll set one card, turn end."
"Draw...first I summon Imperial Jester." 800 Attack. The monster Megumi summoned looked like a Court Jester from the renaissance era.
"Now I activate the field spell; Imperial Captial." Suddenly the field began to change into that of a medieval town, with a huge castle just behind Megumi. Tacey looked around.
"Wow...that's a nice field spell."
"Yeah it's nice all right, just wait 'till you see what her field spells can do..." Nanjo replied.
"Because this field spell is face up, Imperial Jester can activate his first effect; tributing him to special summon one 'Imperial' monster from my hand, so come forth, Imperial Queen!" 2000 Attack.
"Then activate her effect for Imperial Captial; when she's summoned to the field I can special summon two level three or lower 'Imperial' monsters from my hand, so storm the field, Imperial Pawns!" 1600 Attack. Suddenly two small soldiers that looked like they too come from the renaissance era.
"But they won't stay for long, because I overlay them both, creating an overlay network, exceed summon...Imperial Ambassador!" 1500 Defence. Tacey cocked an eyebrow.
"In defense mode?"
"Thankfully for you, his effect doesn't vary on the current field spell, but I activate it anyway, sending one exceed material to choose one 'Imperial' monster I control, it can attack twice this turn. So I of course choose, Imperial Queen." Imperial Ambassador rolled a red carpet right to Kou. Megumi smiled for a second, but it immediately melted back into a serious look.
"Naruki, Kou...if you loose this match...then you come back to the pro circuit with me, got it?" Kou grinned.
"Sure, but if you lose, then you en-roll here, deal?" Megumi slightly chuckled.
"Fine, but your confidence is about to be destroyed by one card; Field Magic; Imperial Fort." Suddenly the city crumbled as a huge plain covered the field, along with a huge wooden fortress behind Megumi.
"With 'Imperial Fort' face-up on the field, Imperial Queen can attack twice during each battle-phase."
"The same OTK she got with us..." Nanjo stated. Megumi smiled for a second again.
"Sorry Naruki, Kou...but it's over, Imperial Queen, strike hard and strike fast, Reckless Rule!" Imperial Queen charged at Kou, pulling back her huge spiked sceptre for a strike.
"Reckless my ass...unless Kou's face-down is something good, he's screwed..."
Yu let out a sigh, crossing his fingers. Suddenly a huge amount of smoke appeared as Imperial Queen striked at Kou.
"It's over." Megumi proclaimed.
"Not yet Megumi-chan." Kou retorted. 4000 LP.
"What? But how...?" Megumi asked, before noticing a new creature on Kou's field. 0 Defence.
"I activate the effect of Battle Fader, ending the Battle phase and special summoning him." Yu let out a sigh.
"Phew...at least that stopped that move."
"Seeing as you have no cards in your hand, I guess that's your turn?" Kou asked as Megumi stepped back in shock before slowly nodding.
"Draw! I tribute Battle Fader for Brain Golem!" 2500 Attack.
"Now Go Red Demon's Dragon, take out Imperial Queen! Absolute Power Force!" Red Demon's Dragon smashed through Imperial Queen. 3000 LP.
"Then Brain Golem, attack Imperial Ambassador! Molecular Drive!" Brain Golem twisted up and broke imperial ambassador with it's tentacles before absorbing it's energy.
"And since Imperial Ambassador was a light type, Brain Golem can attack again! Direct attack!" 500 LP. Megumi fell to her knees.
"You're...still as strong as you were before..." Kou rubbed the back of his head.
"Nah, I got better, and so did you Megumi-chan!"
"Th-thank you...I-I mean, is that your turn, Naruki, Kou!?" Tacey looked shocked for a moment.
"Huh?" Kou nodded.
"Yep, your move Megumi-chan."
"Draw...I activate the magic card; Imperial Stand! Special summoning two level four or lower 'Imperial' monsters from my graveyard in defense mode, however their defense is reduced to zero." 0 Defence. Tacey looked back to the others.
"Didn't Megumi-san look...strange for a moment?" Seb shook his head before looking at Tacey.
"Sorry, what?"
"Shhhh, not right now, I wanna see what she's doing special summoning those weak guys back." Nanjo replied.
"Turn end." Kou looked surprise.
"You exceed the monsters special summoned by it's effect either can you?" Megumi shook her head.
"It doesn't matter, I can and will still defeat you Naruki, Kou."
"Draw! Okay, Red Demon's Dragon, attack one of her Imperial Pawns, and through your effect, destroy the other one!" Suddenly both Imperial Pawns were destroyed, however their swords were sent over to Brain Golem, changing him to defence mode. 1800 Defence.
"With Imperial Fort face-up on the field, when Imperial Pawn is destroyed by battle, it changes one opponent's monster's battle position." Tacey scratched her head.
"Seems it's pretty even...I'm not even sure who'll win this one."
"Okay, then, I activate the quick-play spell Double Cyclone from my hand, destroying Imperial Fort....and destroying my face-down; Statue of the Wicked!" 1000 Attack.
"N-no way!"
"Whoa."
"Go Senpai!" Megumi trembled.
"B-but...th-that's..."
"Yep, Wicked Token, direct attack!" Megumi shielded herself as the statue threw itself at her. 0 LP. Kou looked at the card he drew this turn.
"Hmmmm, guess I didn't get to use Chain Material, oh well." Yu let out a sigh.
"Really wish I knew how he did it..." Megumi seemed to be shaking as Kou walked over.
"That was an awesome duel Megumi-chan!" As Kou held out his hand for a shake, Megumi backed off.
"N-Naruki, Kou...f-fine, I accept your request and I shall...enroll here..." Tacey didn't know if Megumi sounded glad or scared. Tacey walked over to Megumi.
"Um...are you alright, Megumi-san?" Megumi turned to Tacey with a stern look.
That's Kanjori to you, and leave me be. I need to go un-pack." Megumi's icy tone returned as-well.
"Until we next meet, Naruki, Kou." Megumi walked off as Kou gave Tacey a confused look.
"Um, why did you ask her if she's alright? Do ya think she's sick?" Kou sounded worried. Tacey looked back at Kou.
"When you told her she got better...I swear she stammered for a moment."
"Really? Huh...never thought of Megumi-chan to fall over her words...she's really...ah what's the word...elegant?"
"Senpai! That was so freaking cool! I mean...me and Buzz here didn't even survive her first turn but...you went un-scathed!" Nanjo praised as he, Yu and Seb walked over.
"Kou, I really wanna know...how the hell do you pull it off? I swear, I haven't seen you lose one duel since we got here!" Kou rubbed the back of his head.
"Really? I hadn't noticed..." Tacey let out a sigh.
"Well...now that that's settled, I think I'll go talk to Kary." Yu, Seb and Nanjo looked back at Tacey.
"Who?" Tacey looked away from the three.
"Um...a Black dorm student. I ended up dueling her in the past, back when I was getting chimotherapy. It was for the 'Cards for Cancer' tournament." Kou began to walk off.
"I better get out of here before that crowd comes down here...I don't wanna be asked for autographs again...or dates..." Kou shuddered as he went out the door. Nanjo yawned.
"Yeaaaah, sorry but i don't have time to listen to back stories, I'll catch you lot later, maybe." Nanjo walked after Kou. Seb wondered for a moment.
"Damn...what am I gonna do now?" Yu walked over to Seb.
Hey. What's with the long face?" Seb looked back at his phone before putting it in his pocket.
"I don't really know what to do, right now." Yu gave him a pat on the back.
Why don't you come with us? Maybe that Kary girl's cute." Seb let out a sigh.
"Uh...you sure I should come along?" Yu gave Seb a push.
"Get moving, you chicken!" Tacey looked at the two.
"Hey, don't get too excited. I'm not sure where she is, right now."
